I love to knit up pretty multicolored fingering-weight yarns in simple, easy-to-do garter stitch: All the creative work the dyer has put into the skein will show! What I also love is a fun construction for a garter stitch shawl – and details that make it special. “Blauer Pfau” (means “blue peacock” in German) is a triangle with diamond-shaped cut-outs along the middle axis. And the cut-out pieces will magically (sort of) show up at one end of the shawl to add extra interest.
This pattern was first published exclusively in Strickmich! Club 2021. It looks great in the original Club Yarn Katahdin 437 by Miss Babs
or other hand-dyed yarn. All you need is one skein.
