Endless Rainbow PDF Download

Product information "Endless Rainbow PDF Download"

Rainbow-colored yarns are all over the knitting world right now, and this is the pattern to make them really shine! On a semisolid background, the beautiful colors really stand out in thin stripes. On one edge of this long, triangular shawlette the yarn is given the opportunity to pool prettily in decorative little triangles. “Endless Rainbow” will look nice in a lot of different combinations of a solid and a multicolor fingering weight yarn. The reverse side looks good, too.

The knitting is easy and relaxing garter stitch – and due to the strategic, very cunning and simple use of a crochet hook (I provide an instructional video for that), there will be only four ends to weave in when you have finished knitting your “Endless Rainbow” – hence the name.

Leftie

Leftovers. Everyone has them, everyone hoards them – especially when they are some precious hand-dyed yarn that is not always in stock. Well, now their time has come: Leftie is an asymmetrical shawlette that was designed to show off your favorite little leftovers. The stripes will swirl around your neck in a very flattering way, and the cute tiny leaves are the perfect way to make your favorite colors shine (they are created by just a few short rows). It‘s all garter stitch, so the knitting is all fun and relaxing. There are quite a couple of ends to weave in, but that‘s no problem, right? You start with just three stitches, adding wider and wider rows and thereby forming a long and narrow triangle. The little leaves in contrast colors are formed by short rows that are explained in the pattern. This pattern, as the other triangular shawls I have designed, is very flexible: You can use any amount of yarn and end up with a small neckerchief, a small or bigger shawlette. The shawlette in the pictures used 165g of Wollmeise Pure 100% (approx. 130g in main color plus 5-7g of each of six different colors of contrasting leftovers). The pattern "Leftie" is part of Martina Behms book "The Hitchhiker Collection".

Lintilla
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
Why garter stitch is my favorite? Well, mostly, you don‘t have to purl. That makes it easy and relaxing to knit. It might take a little longer for progress to show because you need to work more rows than, say, in stockinette stitch to see what you have done. But that is made up for by that wonderful stretchy fabric that is such a pleasure to wear and makes fingering weight yarn warm and cozy. Plus: Most hand-dyed yarns look really fab in it. So I just could not resist to design another little garter stitch shawlette: Lintilla. It comes with a special long and narrow triangular, slightly asymmetrical construction and a beautiful scalloped, subtly ruffled edge that is really fun to make. This is my fourth shawlette that is named after Douglas Adams‘ „The Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy“ series: Lintilla an intelligent and beautiful woman (she appeared only in the BBC radio play, not in the books), who was accidentally cloned too many times – so her pretty face could be spotted in every part of the galaxy. Who knows, maybe that‘s what‘s going to happen to this shawlette as well? This pattern, as the other triangular shawls I have designed, is very flexible: You can use any amount of yarn and end up with a small neckerchief, a small or bigger shawlette. To achieve the size shown in the pictures, you will need about 525 m (575 yards) of fingering weight yarn. Here is a short video tutorial on how to do the wraps and turns. The pattern "Lintilla" is part of Martina Behm´s book "The Hitchhiker Collection".

Hitchhiker
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
Garter stitch. It‘s simple, it‘s warm and squishy, stretchy and reversible and it makes any variegated, hand-dyed sockyarn really shine. So here‘s Hitchhiker: It is a narrow, slightly asymmetrically shaped triangular shawlette that can be wrapped around the neck several times. The ends are long enough to tie it with a knot. One of the short sides of the triangle features a saw-tooth border that evolves naturally during the knitting and gives the shawl its unusual shape. Because the knitting starts at one end, you can stop anytime, bind off and end up with a useful neckerchief, shawlette or shawl. A perfect project to relax in between more complicated ones, also very suitable for beginners and young knitters. The name? Well, if you use a 150 g skein of Wollmeise 100% Merino for this, you can make how many teeth? That‘s right, 42. The answer to the question about the universe and everything, according to Douglas Adams‘ wonderful book „The Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy“. So don‘t forget your towel, and happy knitting! The pattern "Hitchhiker" is avaliable in Martina Behm´s books "The Hitchhiker Collection" and "Strickmich! Knitting Inventions"
