Green Light Shawl

Product information "Green Light Shawl"

Green and light – that means green lights for everyone who would like to endeavor their very first lace project! It starts with simple garter stitch on the bias, the lace border is knit on last. The result is a classically elegant crescent shaped symmetric shawl, light as a feather and warm and comfy at the same time, in a fascinating exotic yarn. The shape is achieved by stacking two simple geometric shapes onto one another, all in garter stitch to keep it simple. The attractive lace edging is attached perpendicularly as the final step. A nice project to start at home and take on vacation: Work on the mindless and relaxing garter stitch part while still at home and working, and save the slightly more complicated lace part for when you have arrived at your destination, are relaxed and have lots of time to knit the lace border in your deck chair. Less than one skein of an ultralight blend of yak and silk results in a shawl that will fit women of all sizes. If you would like to make it even bigger, go ahead and use up your entire skein.

The pattern "Green Light Shawl" is part of Martina Behm´s book "Strickmich! Knitting Inventions".

Warm, calming and fascinating to watch at the same time – that’s how sunsets are at the Cape of Good Hope, and this is the shawl that channels this feeling! Bright lavender and green on a light background make the saturated red speckles stand out and are a perfect setup for a simple lace border that is very easy to knit. No charts involved! A crescent shape knit on the bias is the main part of this shawl, the border is added later. The beauty of this pattern: You can just knit until your yarn is used up. So every little bit of the precious hand-dyed yarn is put to use, and there is absolutely no danger of running out of yarn in the process. The ideal project to watch a sunset and relax ...

Halley
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
Like a shower of comets and stars, criss-crossing through the sky – that’s what Alexandra of Zauberwiese thought of when she created this beautiful colorway for Strickmich! Club. So I picked up this theme for the design of a lacy shawl: The garter stitch gives way to an ever-growing assembly of geometric comet traces. The shawl is named “Halley” after Halley’s Comet, which is visible from Earth every 74 to 79 years, even without a telescope. The subtle color speckles on a stunning blue background make the shawl even more interesting to knit and wear – reminding you of the wonders of the universe while it warms your shoulders. You can use a yarn with 400-500 m per 100 g for this, like e. g. Amano Ayni or Manos del Uruguay AlegriaThe pattern "Halley" is part of Martina Behm´s book "The Hitchhiker Collection"

Jasminde
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
This pattern was part of Strickmich! Club 2014. If you are a beginning lace knitter, this is for you!  When I first saw a skein of yarn in this beautiful berry-pinkish color, I immediately felt that it needed to be something very, very pretty. Definitely lace, but not too frilly. Geometric and delicate, but simple enough to make it an enjoyable knitting experience. So here is “Jasminde”, a triangular, asymmetric shawl that you will be able to wrap yourself into and instantly feel beautiful! With only 150 grams of “Rohrspatz & Wollmeise Pure“, you will knit a generously sized shawl that is 250 cm (100 inches) long and will not only be pretty to look at, but also keep you warm when autumn arrives. The pattern is flexible regarding the amount of yarn you have and the size you want your shawl to be: Just leave about 10% of your total amount of yarn for the edging, and you will be fine. The English version of the printed pattern does NOT contain a written-out version, CHARTS ONLY.The pattern "Jasminde" is part of Martina Behm´s book "The Hitchhiker Collection".
