Product information "Liebe Hannah"
A shawl to keep you warm: “Liebe Hannah” (German: “Dear Hannah”) is so big that you can wrap yourself in it or fold it lengthwise as a voluminous scarf. Who needs a winter coat when you have a shawl like this? The inspiration for this pattern was the literary character “Hannah” from a book that I love very much. * Hannah always misses the opportunity to buy herself a warm winter coat and keeps freezing in the cold Berlin winter. But with this shawl, I am sure she will be fine! The fun construction of this shawl will look fab in your favorite colors (find kits in Strickmich! Shop). Bonus: You (almost!) don’t have to cast on or bind off.
* Alena Schröder: “Junge Frau, am Fenster stehend, Abendlicht, blaues Kleid” (German: “Young woman, by the window, evening light, blue dress”). Unfortunately, it has not been translated yet, but I am sure it will as it has been a huge success here in Germany.)

Obvious

A stole so big, so soft, and with a geometric pattern that makes it both interesting but very simple to knit, with no lengthy cast-on or bind-off to worry about: That’s “Obvious”. It came to me when I was looking at my schematics for “One for the Books”, a  book cover I designed. It suddenly became obvious that one could use that construction for a stole, too –and so I did! “Obvious” is entirely worked in garter stitch in five of your favorite colors. Made out of an extremely soft, GOTS-certified Merino yarn, it will surely be one of your go-to projects to work on, and when it’s finished, your go-to piece to throw over your shoulders when the days get colder. Obvious, right? The beautiful yarn is Cheeky Merino Joy  by Rosy Green Wool. Colors used in the multicolor sample: Moos, Nachthimmel, Brombeersorbet, Holz and Schwarzer Kater. Colors used in the pink sample: Isar Kiesel, Cornwall Schiefer, Schwarzer Kater, Pfingstrose, Wildrose.

Corners, Edges, Stripes

My new favorite shawl: great colors, fun stripes, interesting construction, generous measurements – and the yarn is so soft and feels so good that I think I will never take this off! “Corners, Edges, Stripes” is the striped variation of my “Ecken + Kanten”-Shawl that everyone keeps asking about. I have worn the predecessor of this shawl until it became old and gray, so when I needed a new one, I thought it would be a great opportunity to write down the pattern for it: Squishy garter stitch is worked in an organic superwash Merino in your four favorite colors. The triangles each use two of them, and each is worked in a different direction for knitting fun and an interesting look. The finished shawl weighs more than 300 g and is 340 cm (136 inches) wide which makes it extremely versatile – it even replaces your cardigan if you wish. But you can also make a smaller and lighter version using less yarn and the same instructions.  Find the yarn used for this pattern, the beautiful Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy in our shop.
