Product information "Quadra Cowl"

Fascinating! Quadra Cowl will change its appearance just as you wish: It's especially fun when made out of a self-striping yarn or a mini-skeins. The construction comes together automatically during the knitting, no sewing or seaming required. All important steps are explained in the accompanying videos. As the cowl is double-layered and extra warm, it will be a useful addition to your winter wardrobe!

The cowls in the pictures are made out of two sets of Zauberperlen by Schoppel (200 g in total, colorways Samarkand and Arabesk) or four balls of Edition 3 by Schoppel (colorway Englischer Garten). You can choose other yarns if you wish (e.g. Lazy Lion or Crazy Zauberball), just make sure it is not too bulky.

Please note that you will need three circular needles of the same size to make this (only for one round), length 80 cm (32 in) or more, preferably in different colors, plus four stitch markers.

Schoppel Crazy Zauberball

Color Schoppel: Orangerie

This yarn is like a magic trick! "Crazy Zauberball" by German manufacturer Schoppel consists of 75% wool mixed with 25% Polyamide and has the most stunning color variations. Perfect for interestingly constructed hats! The color changes make the knitting extra fun, and the result looks just cool and special. The yarn is very light and durable and becomes soft after the first wash. One skein (100 g) are sufficient for an adult sized hat (ca. 50-55 g) plus a kid sized hat (ca. 40-45 g). It's also perfect to make a prettily striped Hitchhiker, Lintilla, Puerto Montt or Easy shawlette. S quaring the circle with this extra-warm and extra pretty hat: Circle & Square! You start with an oval, working in the round and end with a square, all completely seamless and without any purl stitches. The unusual construction looks especially attractive in a self-striping or gradient yarn. The fabric is doubled in the spots that count (ears!), so it’s perfect for icy-cold winter days. Work it in a fingering-weight yarn or choose the yarn you like – the size is adaptable to the wearer’s head circumference. I used one skein of the super soft "Lazy Lion" by Kremke Soul Wool for this hat. The pattern is adaptable to other yarn weights and sizes, though.

Smooth Sailor

This is the 2nd pattern from Strickmich! Club 2016 Smooth Sailor is whatever you would like it to be: Put your arms through the holes and wear it as a shrug. Fold it lengthwise and pull one end through one of the holes, and it will turn into a cozy scarf. Stick your head through one of the openings and one arm through the other and it becomes an asymmetric poncho. Fold it in half such that both holes lie on top of each other and pull it over your head as a capelet. The special 3-dimensional construction makes it all possible! Smooth Sailor is the perfect canvas for a beautiful hand-dyed laceweight, consisting of a plain stockinette body with a little ruffle added at the end. It also is a wonderful project to take on your vacation: Work the cast-on and the setup at home, and have a mindless and lightweight project to knit on in your deckchair. Smooth sailing! Loops is the one accessory you have been waiting for: Simple to knit, interesting to look at due to the use of your two favorite colors, and endless possibilities to wear!
