Product information "Schoppel Alpaka Zauber Plus"
Another great innovative yarn with long, harmonic color changes by Schoppel: voluminous and warm with a mix of 50% soft wool (Merino), 45% Alpaca and 5% Linen, it's just perfect for your next winter hat! "Alpaka Zauber" feels and looks a bit like "Schoppel Gradient": the fibers are not so much spun as slightly felted into a yarn, but it's so much softer and feels better against the skin. A good choice for warm hats, cozy shawls and cowls that will see you through winter. The color changes are a bit lighter and less obvious as in "Gradient", but – as always with Schoppel yarns – they are really beautiful. They will come out really pretty if you choose an originally constructed hat like Tensfield, a shawl like Easy or Feldmark or a cowl like Spiral Escape as a pattern.

Blunk the Hat
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
When I invented the “Tensfield” and “Langfield” hats, my focus was on a seamless hat that could be adjusted to the wearer’s head during the knitting. My family and I are super-fond of our hats and wear them all the time – but my geometrically inclined mind would not stop reasoning until it found a way to make such a hat that would also be symmetrical. So here is Blunk, a cousin to the Tensfield hat that you will certainly enjoy knitting, too! As usual, you can use anything you have in your stash as gauge does not matter at all, and you can adjust it to a newborn’s head as well as to your own. This hat will turn out particularly nice in a handspun yarn with long color changes like Schoppel Crazy Zauberball. The name? “Blunk” is the village next to Tensfeld, right around the corner from Damsdorf, my home.

Tensfield
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
Got this skein of pretty gradient yarn and still looking for the perfect pattern? Here it is: Make a simple but cleverly constructed hat that brings out the beauty of those color changes. Or pick up some colorful sock yarn leftovers and go crazy with stripes! It will fit your head (or your husbands’ or your toddler’s) perfectly, no matter what weight your yarn is or what gauge you are knitting at. You can adjust the size as you go. The knitting is straight-forward back-and-forth garter stitch, but you will certainly enjoy the interesting 3-dimensional construction. This hat is a quick knit that even adventurous beginners will be able to master. The name? The angled stripes reminded me of the fields surrounding our village. This is a beanie pattern. If you prefer a slouchier hat or one that you can fold up, have a look at Langfield. Techniques: Garter stitch, k2tog, increases by m1 and kfb. When finishing this hat, you can either use a 3-needle-bind-off for the little remaining gap at the top or grafting. Don’t worry if you have never done this before – I have an instructional video here. Yarn used for hats in the pictures: • Schoppel Gradient, Color Papagei, 60 g, Needle 3.5 mm • Mystery Handspun Alpaca yarn from Chile, 130 g, Needle 5.0 mm • Zitron Nimbus, Color No. 13, 60 g, Needle 4.0 mm • Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply, Colors Pewter, Ansel, Envy me, Impatiens, 55 g, needle 2.5 mmThe pattern "Tensfield" is part of Martina Behm´s book "Strickmich! Knitting Inventions".

Big & Beautiful
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
As you may know, I live in an old pub in the northern German countryside, built in 1906, remodeled in the late 1980s. It’s beautiful and I really love it, but the house is quite big (big enough to hold knitting events and classes!), so we only turn on the heating in the rooms we actually use – plus the wood stove, of course. When I am sitting at my desk, I usually wear three layers of wool plus something cozy around my neck, and this big and beautiful cowl out of a soft and eco-conscious Aran-weight yarn is my new favorite: The reversible cables spiral elegantly around it, so it’s a little wider at the shoulders and narrower around your neck. Up or down, inside or out: just Big & Beautiful! To make the cowl, you need 2 skeins of Big Merino Hug from Rosy Green Wool, a cable needle, a stitch marker, and a circular knitting needle 6 mm.

Strickmich! Big Bowl - your project bag
Strickmich! Big Bowl is the more voluminous version of her little sister, the Strickmich! Bowl Accessory bag: Open it up and it will expand to a useful bowl that holds your yarn balls when knitting. Sturdy cotton with a wool felt bottom protects your precious yarn, and knitting from it is a breeze. When you close it, you can carry it with the attached sling. Strickmich! Big Bowl holds 250 to 350 g yarn (on the ball or knitted) plus your needles. The smaller version (Strickmich! Bowl – accessory bag) is suitable for knitting accessories or small projects with up to 100 g yarn. The yarn and decoration in the pictures are not included.Strickmich! Big Bowl is sewn by Manomama in Augsburg, Germany after an idea by knitwear designer Martina Behm: Sturdy organic cotton fabric that will hold its shape and a reinforced bowl bottom with wool felt from German sheep who live in the Black Forest. The contrast-color zipper looks great with the Strickmich! logo tag and is made in Germany as well. Manomama is a project by Sina Trinkwalder, who established Manomama in the old textile hub Augsburg in Bavaria, employing people who find it hard to find work otherwise. Fair pay and good working conditions are an essential part of the project. Materials100% organic cotton from Tanzania, woven in Northrine-Westphalia, Germany, GOTS certifiedWool felt from sheep from the Black Forest, GermanyZipper made in GermanyMeasurementsDiameter upper edge ca. 30 cmDiameter bottom 18 cmHeight of Edge approx. 13 cmLength when closed approx. 37 cmWidth when closed approx.  17 cm
