Watch stylized tulip blossoms evolve along the center spine as you knit. Fun, simple, and with a great result! The pattern is adaptable to the amount of yarn you have.

Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy

Color Rosy Green Wool: 135 Rotbuche

This yarn is pure joy: 100% Merino superwash from Argentina, spun in a traditional mill in the UK, GOTS-certified (i. e. produced animal- and eco-friendly) – and soooo supersoft! I do not know many yarns that feel as good as this next to your skin – so it's ideal for shawls, hats and scarves as well as baby clothing. My patterns Matchmaker (DK-Version) and Naiada, as well as Braidsmaid, Heaven & Space, Buds & Bumbles and Brickless are perfect with this yarn, but also my hat patterns Tensfield, Langfield, Blunk the Hat turn out wonderfully in this yarn.The "Melange" colors of Cheeky Merino Joy by Rosy Green Wool have an interesting, almost rustic look to them – while being just as soft as their solid cousins! This is achieved by dyeing a part of the white merino fiber in a dark color before it is spun in to yarn. The colors that are dyed on the skeins will then have a beautiful heathered effect.The sample "Knitters DNA" from our book "Hitchhiker Collection" was made out of two skeins of this yarn, colorway "Sea Green". The sample "Rose Candy" from our book "Strickmich! Knitting Inventions" was knit out of 1 skein of this yarn in color "Eismeer" and 1 skein in color "Nachthimmel". My patterns Obvious, Shore Hap Joy, Shrug & More, Corners, Edges, Stripes and Liebe Hannah were written specifically for this yarn.

This pattern was part of Strickmich! Club 2014. If you are a beginning lace knitter, this is for you! When I first saw a skein of yarn in this beautiful berry-pinkish color, I immediately felt that it needed to be something very, very pretty. Definitely lace, but not too frilly. Geometric and delicate, but simple enough to make it an enjoyable knitting experience. So here is “Jasminde”, a triangular, asymmetric shawl that you will be able to wrap yourself into and instantly feel beautiful! With only 150 grams of “Rohrspatz & Wollmeise Pure“, you will knit a generously sized shawl that is 250 cm (100 inches) long and will not only be pretty to look at, but also keep you warm when autumn arrives. The pattern is flexible regarding the amount of yarn you have and the size you want your shawl to be: Just leave about 10% of your total amount of yarn for the edging, and you will be fine. Like a shower of comets and stars, criss-crossing through the sky – that’s what Alexandra of Zauberwiese thought of when she created this beautiful colorway for Strickmich! Club. So I picked up this theme for the design of a lacy shawl: The garter stitch gives way to an ever-growing assembly of geometric comet traces. The shawl is named “Halley” after Halley’s Comet, which is visible from Earth every 74 to 79 years, even without a telescope. The subtle color speckles on a stunning blue background make the shawl even more interesting to knit and wear – reminding you of the wonders of the universe while it warms your shoulders. Simple, elegant lace in a surprising, long, slightly asymmetrical triangular shape: That’s Naiada! Knit with a warm DK weight yarn in a beautiful color it will look great under your winter coat or wrapped around your shoulders for extra warmth over a shirt or sweater. Made of a bright blue you will be wearing your very private ocean! You start at one corner of the triangle, adding wider and wider rows, thereby forming a long, slightly asymmetric triangle. The pattern will work at any gauge with any amount of yarn. The lace pattern is very straightforward and easy to remember. You can work it using the (very simple) written instructions or the charts, whatever you prefer. It’s really smooth sailing on the lace ocean which is also doable for beginning lace knitters.
