Knitting and doing good is so easy: These beautiful and luxurious yarns are blends of wool from rare sheep breeds combined with the amazing merino fiber we know from other yarns by Rosy Green Wool. 50 ct per skein go to the "Rare Breeds Survival Trust".
"Manx Merino Fine" is made of 28% wool from Manx Loaghtan sheep from the UK, an extremely rare breed that produces gorgeous caramel-colored fleece. Rosy Green Wool have combined it with their supersoft certified organic merino fiber, so the yarn has an interesting tweedy look to it. The number of skeins available is strictly limited, simply because there are not many Manx sheep remaining – so grab yours as long as we have them here!
"Heb Merino Fine" by Rosy Green Wool is an especially luxurious blend of 80% Merino and 20% Hebridean, a rare sheep breed from the UK which is very hard to come by if you are looking for certified organic wool. The dark Hebridean spun with the lighter Merino has an interesting heathered effect that looks spectacular undyed but also dyed in the beautiful Rosy Green Wool colorways. This yarn is a little more heathered than Manx Merino fine.
All yarns by Rosy Green Wool are GOTS-certified and made with Merino fiber from Patagonia (mulesing-free).
As fingering weights they are both perfect for almost all shawlettes by Martina Behm, e. g. Hitchhiker, Samadhi, Lelly, Jasminde, Match & Move, Fractal Danger, Lintilla, Knit Your Love, Leftie, Baltic Summer or Magrathea.
The pattern "Rockin' Rows" was especially designed for this yarn. Choose your individual color combination here!
