Kremke Soul Wool Morning Salutation

Product information "Kremke Soul Wool Morning Salutation"

Softer than cotton, cooler than linen and wrinkle-free – "Morning Salutation" by Kremke Soul Wool is a summer knitter's dream come true! 51% Lyocell made out of unwanted wood cuts and 49% cotton will make it flow smoothly through your hands and be a pleasant yarn even in high temperatures. No yoga necessary!

This yarn has a beautiful weight to it (110 m / 50 g) that will give your shawls amazing drape. It's perfect for shawls with lace or structural patterns or cables, also for sweaters and cardigans. The perfect choice for everyone who would like to go without animal fiber!

Note: All designs made for "Cheeky Merino Joy" by Rosy Green Wool can also be worked with this yarn, as they are similar in diameter. Due to the different yardages, you will need 150 g (3 skeins) of "Morning Salutation" to substitute 100 g (1 skein) of Cheeky Merino Joy.

Hitch on the Move
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
Zig-zags just look cool, are fun to knit and go with everything, if you ask me! This shawl unites the sharktooth design of my most popular pattern “Hitchhiker” with the construction of “Match & Move”: two yarns interlock along the middle axis in a zig-zag-pattern. Of course, everything is worked seamlessly in one piece, and in the end, there are only very few ends to weave in. For “Hitch on the Move” we chose two lovely plant-based yarns, one with color changes and one without. If you prefer, you can use a set of mini-skeins for one side and a solid color for the other – the possibilities are endless! Please keep in mind if you change yarns with every stripe, there will be more ends to weave in. The pattern includes instructions on how to make the shawl bigger using more yarn.Below you can see color suggestions from Kremke Soul Wool "Morning Salutation" and Schoppel "Zauberball Crazy Cotton". The shawl on the photos is knitted from two balls per color.

Buds & Bumbles
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
Every summer I find myself suddenly without anything hand-knit to wear – even the biggest wool-lovers among us will have to admit that Merino tends to lose its appeal once it’s 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit) or more. So this summer I thought I would be clever and knit myself a shawlette out of a nice cotton yarn with long color changes. It has a cute little bud-stitch pattern that has a subtle lace-like appearance, biased construction and wavy or pointy edges. You can knit it until your yarn is used up, just to the size you love to wear. Knit it now using a cotton or cotton blend so you will have it ready for next summer (unlike me, who finished it just now in the fall), or use a cozy woolen yarn with pretty color changes like Schoppel Zauberball Cotton to be stylish and warm this season. Measurements of shawlette in the pictures: 167 cm (67 in) x 48 cm (19 in) We carry the pretty and amazing yarn Schoppel Zauberball Cotton here in Strickmich! Rose Candy
Formate: PDF Download | Language: Deutsch
Rose Candy was the last pattern of Strickmich! Club 2015. Warm and fun – that’s what a knitting project for the cold season should be like to cheer us up during the dark days of winter. Make a cozy stripey cowl in garter stitch, just knitting back and forth and joining the parts modularly. No purling, no seaming, just pure fun with stripes! If you have twice the amount of yarn available, you can make your cowl longer so that it doubles as a very warm scarf – the sweet icing on the cake of our Strickmich! Club year 2015! The yarn is an animal-friendly supersoft merino in a very special, limited colorway that will make your cheeks glow with joy. Here is a video in which I talk about the yarn and the design: Cast-On-2015-4 from Martina Behm on Vimeo. The pattern "Rose Candy" is part of Martina Behm´s book "Strickmich! Knitting Inventions".
